Although intelligence is associated with genetics to some degree (particularly from the mother’s side), several factors affect the development of your child’s intellect. Methods of education, family life, social settings, and nutrition all play an important role in your child’s development.

Like the saying: “A sound mind is in a sound body”, we should begin to care about children’s intelligence by protecting their health, ensuring they eat balanced meals that include enough proteins, vitamins, iron, and fish. It is important that children exercise regularly by joining clubs at school, after school sports, and other extracurricular activities. Furthermore, it is key to organize their sleep so that they receive adequate rest.

Development of Intelligence in Children

At Little Academy Nursery, we pride ourselves in having an on-site nutritionist to monitor each child’s food and health and encourage them to participate in different social activities. We also fuse education and fun together, creating activities that require attention, refine concentration and build on sensory development.

As for the educational aspects that affect children’s intellectual abilities; experts advise leaving your children to explore, ask freely, unleash their imagination, and express their feelings.

How to Develop Your Child’s Intelligence ?

  1. To develop children’s interpersonal intelligence, you should encourage them to play with others and participate in musicals and other extracurricular activities.
  2. Make sure you choose the nursery, kindergarten, then the school, and academic excellence.
  3. Motivate and propel your children towards a variety of activities and interests.
  4. It is equally important for children to used to reading habits from childhood. The more children read with their teachers or parents, the greater their desires will be to explore science and knowledge; which will be reflected positively on their level of intelligence.
  5. After reading a book or a story, it is important that parents discuss the contents of the books with children.
  6. Also, they can ask them to summarize what they have understood, as it stimulates the child’s brain.

When we talk about nurturing healthy children, parenting plays one of the most important roles. Parental approaches to punishing or reprimanding a child have a significant impact on your child’s personality. If your child makes a mistake, punishment might include canceling one of their activities or asking them to sit in a room alongside discussing the seriousness of their actions; so that they can benefit and avoid repeating them as much as possible. Healthy approaches and sound parenting, along with the right nursery, all play an important role in fostering your child’s growth and intellectual development.
